She was admitted to the Bar in Barbados in October 2000 and shortly thereafter started her legal practice as a Junior Attorney-at-Law with Sir Louis Tull K.A., Q.C. Ms. Evans brings a keen understanding to the areas of law she practices and has done extensive research into Conveyancing, Intellectual Property and Family Law. Ms. Evans is a member of the Barbados Bar Association Council, where she is the Convener of the Magistrate's Court Committee. Ms. Evans is also a member of the Barbados Bar Association Disciplinary Committee. Ms. Evans lectured at Barbados Community College Hospitality Institute for a period of three years. She speaks to community, church and youth groups, educating individuals to their rights under the law with emphasis in the areas of Family Law - rights of parties to a marriage, domestic violence, rights of a child, etc. Her community service and other involvements extend to the Barbados Defence Force, where she is a Reserve Officer at the rank of Second Lieutenant and attached to the Barbados Cadet Corps. At present, Ms. Evans is the Commanding Officer of the Combermere School Cadet Unit. She is also a member of the Bridgetown Toastmasters Club and the Business & Professional Women's Club. While at the University of the West Indies, the former Harrison College student was a member of the Barbados Students' Association and served as an executive committee member of that association.
